Chocolate, White and a Crazy Night
Thankfully our family has gotten back to normal following the time change. We had a couple weeks where everyone insisted on getting up way too early. As much as I love getting up an hour earlier than usual, it was getting a little old. Everyone is back on track and daddy is very happy.
About a year ago, to help control Chase's sleeping habits, I put a night light in his room that is connected to a timer. When the light is on it's time for sleep and when it turns off he can get up. Eventually (right around the time change) he figured out how to manually turn the light on and off, so he would come strolling out an hour early and announce that the light was "off". I finally had to put the timer behind some furniture to stop the shenanigans.
We were entertained recently when serving chocolate pudding with whipped cream on top. Not knowing what it was called, Chase asked to have some "chocolate and white" for dessert. Ever since that's what we call it.
We had a chance to get out of the house a few weeks ago (I think it was March 14th). My mom and dad sat Jaxon, Mason and Chase while Emilie and I went out for a night of partying. We met Mike at the Macaroni Grill and got some cheap food using a gift card we've been hanging on to for a while. We then caravaned to the Rock Blvd. building to watch a stage play about Joseph Smith that was put on by the Sparks Stake youth. It was well done and we had a good time. I can't remember the last time we partied like that!
Bryce is becoming a giant lardo. He's outgrowing his diapers and clothes at an unacceptable rate. He's already at the threshold for his infant car seat and he's still supposed to fit in it for more than 2 months. We've got him doing Hip Hop ABS, but so far we haven't noticed any results. On the bright side, you can rub his belly for good luck!
Bryce is a very good baby, so we've been very lucky in that regard. He's pretty mellow and quite content most of the time. Chase continues to be excessively affectionate. He loves to lay down next to Bryce and pat him, or play with him or entertain him any way he can. He is also very good at helping with the twins most of the time. Of course, he also torments them, so you don't always know whether you're going to get angel Chase or Chase the Tormentor. He's good more often than not, so we've been pretty lucky all around.
