Snow Day

What's the deal with the snow? Seriously - I demand an answer. But seriously, I'm not being serious.

The days for riding my bike to work are certainly numbered, if not entirely gone. I rode yesterday and it was very chilly during lunch and riding home, even though it seemed pretty nice riding in to work.

A couple of years ago I lamented that cinnamon flavored products are becoming hard to find. Wal*Mart has completely stopped carrying any form of cinnamon flavored mouthwash and even cinnamon flavored floss is increasingly rare. Apparently I'm the last person on the planet with such discriminating taste.

My mouthwash of choice is Cinnamon ACT Fluoride Rinse. It has fluoride and is alcohol-free, unlike ACT Restoring Anticavity Mouthwash. The "restoring" mouthwash seems to be replacing regular ACT on all the shelves, probably because it costs significantly more and recommended usage is twice daily. Regular ACT recommends a single use daily.

Out of desperation I started shopping for mouthwash online. Even some of the big online vendors don't carry regular cinnamon ACT. I finally found it at Longs.com and it was even on sale!

So, to make a long story more boring [completing the remainder of this post 10/14] I rode my bike by Long's after work in the bitter cold. I loaded up on four bottles of mouthwash for $2.99 per bottle. This is a little less expensive than Wal*Mart's regular price, I think, but it's almost half of Long's regular price. Then I got to ride home in the cold with plenty of extra weight. But no sacrifice is too great to have such a hearty supply of great mouthwash.

If you made it this far, I'm sorry.
