The twins had their first birthday about two and half weeks ago. Although I'm seriously delayed in reporting the event, we actually did celebrate with the family the weekend of.

The Saturday before their birthday we had lots of family over including both sets of grandparents, David and Elise, Mike, some of the Wendy family (not all could attend), the Jenni family and Ms. Lisa (of Lisa and Sam fame). Unfortunately Sam was ill and unable to make it.

We had some delicious food including cupcakes, vegetables, homemade ice cream and more! The twins got some sweet presents, which they absolutely love. They weren't really fans of the cupcakes at first. I think Jaxon tried to grab the candle and wasn't a very big fan of the resulting sensation. Eventually they warmed up to the goodies (especially Jaxon! Get it?!).

The little kids stayed up way too late while the rest of us played Rock Band. All in all it was a fun night and it was exciting to get everyone together in the new digs.
