Caucusing the Sickness
Everyone's still sick around here. Except for Emilie. For some reason she has been spared from the most recent cold we've been sharing.
Right now Mason is crying and neither of us are doing anything about it. That's pretty much all he does. I think he's getting better, though. When he's awake during the day he does pretty well. He plays and hangs out and is generally pretty happy. But at night when he's supposed to be sleeping he just cries and cries.
The difference between Mason and Jaxon is pretty funny. Mason cannot sleep unless he has a pacifier, but he is incapable of keeping the pacifier in his mouth. Jaxon can create so much suction that to remove the pacifier you need to put one foot on his forehead and force it out using both hands; however, Jaxon does not want or use a pacifier. He hasn't used one for at least a couple months now. Also, Mason absolutely must be swaddled very tightly in order to sleep, but he usually squirms and uses his tiny baby muscles to force his hands and arms free. Once they are free he starts screaming because he's no longer swaddled. Jaxon, on the other hand, will sleep fine either way, but he doesn't really even try to free himself. They're just all mixed-up.
Mason's motor skills are developing fairly well. He can grab toys and things without too much effort. Jaxon is a little behind him, though. He has to work a little harder at it...
Anyway, this is the most recent picture I have.

I went and participated in the Nevada caucus a couple weeks ago. It was very interesting to say the least. I miss the good old primary.
