Wake Up Guitar It's Time to Pack Your Bags
A quick update, starting with Thanksgiving.
We spent Thanksgiving at Emilie's parents. After a proper amount of gluttony we played a little bit of Quiddler. I was extremely lucky and did much better than usual. It was lots of fun, as always.
It wasn't much fun the following Saturday, though. I seemingly contracted some mysterious food poisoning. No one else got sick. The only things I ate that no one else ate in the day or two preceding the illness were a banana and some orange juice. If food poisoning, then why didn't anyone else get it? If a 24-hour flu, then why didn't anyone else at home or work get it? Very strange. After several hours of terrible misery, I barked some orders at the ants and felt better afterwards. By Sunday afternoon I felt like myself again.
Chase has been pretty excited about guitars lately. Partly because of watching us play Guitar Hero, but also because of The Wiggles. He recently decided that a wooden spoon makes a sufficiently good guitar and he spends much of his day walking around the house dancing and playing his spoon guitar.

Less funny is another thing he picked up recently. When the babies are enjoying the seemingly rare moments of sleep he likes to get in their face and yell, "WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" This is something that we don't find very funny. I find it a little bit funny when I can get him to do it to Emilie first thing in the morning.
Today was our company Christmas luncheon. For the first time I actually won during the raffle. I originally stole a sweet Oral-B electric toothbrush set from a cow-orker, but it was stolen from me. Other items I got but didn't get to keep include a fire pit, a Casio keyboard, a portable DVD player, and an iPod sound system. Alas, it wasn't meant to be and I brought home a very nice set of Dockers-brand luggage. Merry Christmas to me! All I need now is an opportunity to use it. And a babysitter or two. Hmmm. Nevermind.
