October 2006 Archives
This entry is coming to you from the illustrious Boise Airport. I just finished having dinner with the esteemed Barnet family at the renowned Golden Corral restauraunt. The food was tasty - probably even more tasty than the mouth full of rocks that Jared was chewing on.
This past week Chase and Emilie were sick. Although still congested, Chase is at least sleeping better. He had a bad night on Saturday, but Sunday night was even worse. He was up about every 15 minutes crying, but he couldn't use his pacifier because then he couldn't breathe at all. Very sad for an unhappy Chase. Emilie's cold was short-lived, but Chase is still hanging on to the bug.
Today's trip to Boise was a quick one day journey. Last week I had an overnighter in San Francisco, where I ate at Historic John's Grill. You wouldn't know it at first, but it's apparently famous because of The Maltese Falcon.
Well, I'm providing the Chase update, as promised. Chase is trying desperately to crawl, but can't quite figure it out. He doesn't want to move his hands or his knees. He does a walking face plant thing, which frustrates him. He has an obsession with walking and wants to do it constantly. If he gets a hold of your hands he'll pull himself up and make you walk him around. All things considered, he's a well-behaved, fun baby.
He is starting to sleep a little longer in the mornings. He was getting up around 5:30a for a while, but this morning he slept until after 7:00a. Emilie particularly appreciated that.
He has a new favorite expression that he likes to make, especially when eating.

He likes to breathe in and out real fast while he makes the face. It's pretty funny.
I think it's about time for a Chase podcast. I'll work on that over this next week.
In unrelated news, this site is now the first search result that comes back if you search for my name on Google. How exciting is that? Not really, I know.
In super unrelated news, Mike's blogging has not only ceased, but it has started going back in time. Entries have been disappearing. Yipes.
