Week in Review
NOTE: This post was actually authored last Friday, but was never posted. I deeply regret the delay - I beg your forgiveness.
Last weekend was pretty action-packed. Eventually. Emilie and I went to Bajio Mexican Grill for some delicious dinner. I got the excellent Mexican Pizza and Emilie enjoyed a Chimichanga. If I had to compare it to another place, I would say it's a little bit like Qdoba; however, the food at "Bajio" far surpasses that of the competition! If you haven't been, then you must go. If you've been, then you must go again. You must!
Mike and I attempted to fish on Saturday, but the river was just too high and moving too fast, thus no luck. We tried a couple different spots, but ultimately resorted to rock-skipping (check out Mike's excellent rock-skipping technique). It will probably be a while before the river returns to a fishable level, but maybe we'll have to try some lake fishing between now and then.
After our fishing/rock-skipping activities, we cruised over to Sparks to attend Nathan's baptism. We saw a couple of people that we knew from when we lived in Sparks, but mostly it was all new faces. The baptism was good and we all went to Wendy's house for pizza after.
What started as a very spiritual evening was brought into balance by watching an edited version of Office Space that their family rented from CleanFlicks. It's a very funny movie.
On Sunday we watched Rabbit-Proof Fence, which was very interesting. I knew that the idea for the story was true, but I didn't realize that it was a true story based on real people. It's absolutely amazing to me...
