Shop at Rogers
After a long Friday night and a distressing Saturday, Emilie was quickly arriving at the end of her figurative rope. She was becoming cranky and depressed and just generally pleasant to be with. We were on our way to scour the ground at Sam and Lisa's apartment complex (since Emilie had been there the night before) and we stopped by Rogers Jewelry to find out how much a replacement diamond would cost. It turns out that the ring was still under warranty and they are replacing the diamond for free. Emilie was crying and there was much rejoicing. The funny thing is that the warranty runs out next month. The moral of the story is that you should shop at Rogers because they rock.
The excitement of the day didn't end there. Mike has been making a silent movie for the Institute's SNL activity. Since I have the CD burner, the movie editing software, the video camera, etc., Mike was depending on me to help him get the movie ready. His car broke down Friday night and a series of slight delays caused us the finish the movie just in time to jump in the car and rush over to the church for delivery. Anyway, it turned out good. I'm sure he'll make the movie available on his webpage - you can watch for that.
So, amidst all the trials, there is a happy ending.
Speaking of happy endings, I have a second interview tomorrow. Hopefully it works out so that I can move on to brighter paths.
