Toady

|

For a while we had a toad living under our garbage can. Every time we moved the trash it would give us the dirtiest looks. It would hop away and hide until the trash was returned to the proper place. It was there for a couple weeks but seems to have hopped away to greener pastures. We'll know for sure on Friday...

Last Saturday I went to see The Rundown with Mike. I was expecting it to be sort of a cheesy action movie along the lines of The Mummy, but it was actually really good. The action sequences were fun to watch and Christopher Walken was an excellent bad guy. Definitely worth watching.

Bloody Saturday

|

Today was blood day. Emilie and I went to United Blood Services and made a donation. I made a double donation, but Emilie just couldn't bring herself to do it - she stuck with the traditional whole blood donation. I lucked out today because I was able to enjoy three needle sticks instead of the usual two. They stuck me once to get the blood from my finger for the iron sample, which is okay, but they messed up when they went to stick the needle in my arm. The girl who prepped the bags wasn't very experienced with the double donation so she forgot to clamp one of the tubes, which let saline leak into the sample blood collection bag. To get the sample they had to put a needle in one arm to collect the samples while they were drawing blood from my other arm. I went home full of holes.

We finally saw Pirates of the Carribean. We've been planning on seeing it for a while now but finally just went. It was a good movie. I'm glad we finally saw it.

Work

|

Things have been pretty crazy at work lately. My boss took a different job at the company and I'm currently doing his job and mine. After a couple weeks of doing his job I feel horrible for all the times I bugged him or gave him a hard time. Every day is a constant stream of phone calls, questions, requests and complaints. I'm trying to find a balance between doing the new job and my regular job, but it's been tough since the new job doesn't leave me any time for my regular job. What's more is that I never had enough time for my regular job in the first place.

Currently, they're trying to fill the manager position but the position has been open since Sept. 4 and it's still open. I applied, but who knows whether or not I'll get the job. It would be nice because I'm already handling all the responsibilities of the job and if I were hired for it then I could get paid for it, too.

Oh, yeah....Emilie is feverishly working on her part of the site so you can expect some wonderful things soon... =)
