The RM

|

Well Brad, Mike (Brad's brother)and I went to the "RM" last night at the Riverside theatre. It was showing there for about a week. I think this movie was really funny, funnier than "Singles Ward".

Apple computers are sooo lame

|

A while back I bought an iMac from a guy at work. I thought it would be interesting just to play around with and to experiment with. Instead of being interesting, it's just lame. I'm trying to give it an honest chance, but they are just no fun! First of all, the one-button mouse has got to go (whose hand did they design that mouse for anyway?). Configuring the thing is a nightmare. If they could make an operating system that looks good like MacOS, is easy to use like Windows and is as stable as Unix, I'd be all over it...

Taco Bell

|

I posted this on "The Nug" but I thought I would write a comment about my favorite fast food item at this time. It is "7-layer Nachos" from Taco Bell. These Nachos are quite tasty, they are even better if you add beef. I have had them both ways, either way you will not be disapointed. It can also come with chicken or steak also but I can't picture them on nachos.

I guess my attitude has been noticed at work. Ive been quite 'short' with people this last week and this morning my boss asks me if I was in a pissy mood. I said, "No". He said "Good". Then a co-worker wich I do not particular like said "Well, she will be" I wanted to snicker a look at the co-worker, but instead I just smiled, laughed and walked away.

Hello

|

Hey, its blog #2. Does that sound bad?
Anyways, I have been extremely busy at work, so that is why I haven't blogged. I have been working 9, 10, 11 hour days to get these specifications for a Casino project out the door. They are still not completely done, but that is not my fault. It is the other consultants that are behind schedule.
So ... since I am tired this week, it shows at home. The other day I was making spagetti. I was cooking the hamberger, but I left the burner on high. SO when I returned from my room the hamberger was burning and smoke was everywear. I just turned it off and ate noodles and sauce. I should have clean it up then, but I had to go to Enrichment night. The burned hamberger scent is still lingering in the air. Gross huh!!
Oh and for the first time ever, with the silverware from our wedding, A spoon head was in the garbage disposal. I always look to see if there is silverware down there. But since I was tired this week I didnt look. Brad and I now have a spoon with a jagged edge. Sniff Sniff

They want to suck my blood.

|

Today was the four-month anniversary of giving a double donation of blood. To celebrate, I went to United Blood Services and gave another double donation. Including today's donation, I have given 2 gallons and 3 pints of blood (incrementally over the past few years - not all at once). The double donation is weird because they take out a pint of blood and separate it - plasma in one bag and red blood cells in another. Then they feed the plasma back into your arm mixed with saline solution. The solution is cold and feels very strange. Once all the plasma has been returned to your body, they repeat the process. You can only give blood every 4 months when they do it this way, rather than every two months as with a regular one-pint donation.

I like it, though. it doesn't make me lethargic like the single donation does. Plus, it's really cool to watch the juices flowing in and out of your arm. It's almost like a lava lamp...

Home improvement

|

I took on the first interior home improvement project this weekend. I would say it's the first project at our house, but last year we got to work on the backyard after our "incident" with Tommy. Anyway, I put a shelf up in the garage. This may sound like small potatoes/potatos, but considering I've never done anything like this before it turned out to be interesting. I really shouldn't be so proud of myself - the entire project consisted of mounting two brackets to the wall and setting a board on top of the brackets. Still, it's a first step or something...

Which blog?

|

Brad and I well... mostly Brad is trying to get our website up. This is the blog page, and I am testing it to see if I like it. SO far I think it is good. I like it.

Statements, schmatements...

|

Here it is, almost midnight and I'm still at my dad's shop printing statements. I thought the letters and statements were done, but when I went to pick them up off the floor (where they accumulate while printing) it turned out that they weren't done, but just out of paper. So, I refilled the paper and now they are printing again. Ugh. Oh, well. I can't really complain - they were much easier this month than they usually are.
