They're nearing completion of the exterior of the house. They are ready to put the tile down on the roof and the walls are set to have the stucco done. It's actually starting to look like a real house!
Last Sunday we took a look at the inside of the house. They have the electrical work mostly done (outlets, phone, etc.) and the showers have been installed. I'm anxious for them to get the sheetrock up - it's hard to picture what the insides will look like when you stand at one end and can see through all the walls to the other side of the house...
So, the scorpions were gross and I went looking around the house to see if there were more hanging out around the outside of the house. I armed myself with a flashlight and tromped around in the dark. I didn't find any scorpions, but I found a couple of these weird scorpion/cricket/spider hybrid things. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what this thing is? It was afraid of the light and ran away whenever I aimed the flashlight at it...Creepy.

Not that it wasn't newsworthy before...it's just that I thought it was an isolated incident. This is the third scorpion that we've caught at our house in about the past two months. The first was in the garage, the second was in the hall between the entry and the kitchen (yuck), and this one was on the front porch.
