The work on the house continues to move forward. On a more exciting note, we finally started the paperwork, which had been paused because of issues that the builder was having. New completion date is scheduled for end of November, back a month from the end of October date that we had previously been given. When we first began looking at these homes, we were told that the homes would not be in a flood zone, which most Double Diamond homes are. The builder designed the homes with high property elevation, etc. to avoid being classified as a flood zone. Now that the homes are being built, FEMA needs to review each property and sign it off before it can officially be taken out of flood zone status. The builder did not want to sign papers until this process was mostly done, which it is now. What an exciting story, eh?
